Pasghetti (The Perfect Combination of Pizza & Spaghetti)

Like most families, we have a list of dishes that have always been a tradition when it comes to putting food on the table. Pasghetti is a dish that has been one of those go-to meals for as long as I can remember.

This recipe brings together the flavors of both pizza and spaghetti in a fun twist. Here’s how you can make it:

Start with your spaghetti “crust.” Boil 1 lb. spaghetti broken into 3 inches pieces until the pasta is al dente. Drain this and run some cold water over the pasta to cool it down. Set this aside for a moment.

Mix up 2 1/2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 egg, 1/2 c. milk, 1 tsp. garlic powder, and 1/2 tsp. Italian seasoning.


Add the drained and cooled spaghetti and mix well.


Grease a cake sheet pan and evenly spread the mixture into the pan. Bake this at 425 F for 15 minutes.

While the spaghetti bakes, begin browning 1 lb. hamburger with 1/4 c. chopped onion and salt and pepper. Drain this as well. Now, here is where you have an option. You can either mix in 1 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce with or keep them separate. In this case I mixed them.


Remove the spaghetti crust from the oven and spread the meat sauce mixture over the crust. OR spread the sauce on evenly, and then top with the hamburger.


Top with 1 1/2 c. cheese, because, you can’t ever have enough cheese. In our family we support the dairy industry with a passion. 🙂


Reduce the heat on the oven to 350 F and bake for 30 more minutes. It’ll come out looking something like this:

It may not be the prettiest thing you’ve ever eaten, but it’ll sure be tasty!



  • 1 lb. spaghetti, broken into 3 inch pieces

  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 c. shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce

Boil spaghetti noodles. Drain and rinse with cool water. Set aside. Combine 2 1/2 mozzarella cheese, egg, milk, and seasonings. Carefully mix in spaghetti. Spread mixture into greased cake sheet pan and bake at 425 F for 15 minutes. Brown and drain ground beef with chopped onion. Remove spaghetti from oven and top with jar of spaghetti sauce. Place ground beef on top and evenly spread remaining cheese on top. Reduce oven heat to 350 F and bake for 30 more minutes.
